Early September, Feng Dongming, the founder and president of Markor investment group, along with his team accepted our exclusive interview in Beijing, Tianjin, Kuerle, and Urumuqi respectively. In the year 2008 when most SMEs fell down one after another, how this private company based in Xinjiang can survive smartly? Furniture manufacturing, furniture sales and chemistry-Such strategic design is named as'the Iron Triangle'by Feng Dongming, which can lower the hidden risk of single mode or single market. Nevertheless, the test is just starting for Markor. Different performances of'the Iron Triangle'strategy got challenged in 2008.Firstly, Markor just entered the chemistry industry and the survival is now the initiative; secondly, Markor Furnishings has to increase 5 new branches each year to keep the sustainable development; lastly, OEMs for furniture got into trouble collectively. Against the background of economic downturn, Markor's ability to leverage different fields is still under question.
