分析"五四"时期中国书刊报出版异常繁荣的缘由:政治思潮的蓬勃兴起、思想文化的跃进,经济快速发展、先进分子的倡导与实践、自由宽松的学术环境分别成为"五四"期间书刊报兴盛的前提、核心内涵、物质基础、根本所在、重要保障;民主和科学及社会改造成为这时期书刊报的主要内容,指出新书刊的大量出版利用对于催化新思想、新文化具有重要作用。

The paper analyzes the cause of publishing books, magazines and newspapers＇ abnormal prosperity in the period of May 4^th Movement, and thinks that rising of political thoughts, rapid developing of culture and economy, advocating and practicing of advanced individuals,free and spacious academic environment have become the prerequisite, core connotation, physical basic, root cause and important safeguard respectively in the period of May 4^th Movement. Democracy, science and social reforming have become main contents of the period. The paper points out that the publishing and using of books, magazines and newspapers play an important role in the rising of new thoughts and culture.
