The significance of developing green packaging materials using plant straw was elaborated. The feature of plant straw and the packaging materials was summarized and classified. The current status and prospect of the development of straw plant packaging materials was analyzed, which included straw plant food packaging products, straw plant cushioning packaging materials, straw plant packaging papers, and straw plant plates.
