叙述了中国人对四君子梅兰竹菊的推崇和赞赏。介绍了中华民族自古以来就很注重其自身的精神和气节,而且很善于把这种精神和气节寄情于物。分析了梅兰竹菊所表达的含意和精神特征。并结合实际,进一步探讨了梅兰竹菊的文化精神及图、形、色在现代包装设计中的运用。

The admiration and appreciation of Chinese on the so-called four noble plants--plum blossoms, orchids, bamboo, and chrysanthemum were described. It was introduced that Chinese nation lays much emphasis on their spirit and moral integrity from time immemorial and that they are good at reflecting this spirit and moral integrity on objects. The meaning and spiritual features of plum blossoms, orchids, bamboo, and chrysanthemum were analyzed. The cultural spirits of plum blossoms, orchids, bamboo, and chrysanthemum, and their application in picture, shape, and color of modern packaging design were further discussed.
