英语语调隐喻研究

A Study of Intonation Metaphor

语调在传统语法理论和系统功能语法理论中都是韵律成分,其分类大致有7类。语调的非结构成分特征使得语调使用更加灵活,因此让句子理解产生了多种可能,起到了人际意义功能。同时,语调还可连接句子,起到了语篇功能。这两种功能被成为语调隐喻。

Intonation is a prosodic element in the traditional grammar and Syatemic Functional Grammar, and it is roughly classified into seven groups. The nonstructural feature of intonation makes its usage more flexible, and this makes it possible for one sentence to be interpreted in more ways in communication. That apart, intonation can connect sentences to function as that in a passage. The two of intonation are called intonation metaphor.
