Cultural Relics Carry City Culture and Spirit

文化古迹是构成城市特征的重要部分。现代城市的商业化,使得速成古迹的风潮在城市中日渐兴盛,同时,文化古迹由于城市无节制的发展不断遭到破坏、逐渐减少。要关怀城市文化与城市精神,应当建立新居和古迹并存的共赢观念,致力于保护作为城市文化与城市精神本体的历史古迹,进而强化城市形象。

Although cultural relics are an important part of a city＇s character, many have been destroyed by uncontrolled urban development. New construction projects also often build structures intended to appear as ancient buildings but are in fact artificial. Cultural relics need to be protected from any negative impacts of new development and preserved to enrich the cultural and historic city image.
