Renovation and Historic Preservation:A Case Study of Yongkang Old City

永康市旧城的功能定位为集商业服务、商务办公、文化娱乐、休闲居住等功能于一体的复合型城市中心区。为了创造既具有鲜明地方文化特色,又适应现代城市生活需要的中心区,其控制性详细规划提出"尊重民意、有机更新、新旧融合"的规划思路,构筑历史文化与现代生活和谐并存的双"十"字轴线结构,根据保护建筑分布情况和现状条件,提出有针对性的保护措施,并根据城市设计各要素要求编制控制图则与指标。

Yongkang old city hosts a variety of functions including business, office, culture, entertainment, and residences. The regulatory plan for Yongkang is intended to create a city center that combines elements of the traditional village and of the modern city. The plan proposes a two part structure incorporating history and modernity based on the principles of respecting life, organic renovation, and mingling the new with the old. Historic buildings are also protected in the plan.
