Slightly Discusses of the Mourning Apparel View in the Shi Qu Ge Conference

甘露三年三月,汉宣帝召集儒家学者,主持召开石渠阁会议,讨论五经异同。在讨论丧礼时,汉代礼学家探讨了经书中大夫之臣为诸侯、父卒子为改嫁之母等不被时人理解的丧服关系,并对《仪礼.丧服》中宗子孤为殇、逾期不葬除服等内容作了进一步辩论。通过讨论,澄清了《仪礼.丧服》记载的相互矛盾之处,正定了当时的丧服关系,为汉代丧礼的进一步完备奠定了基础。

In March the Western Han Dynasty Han Xuan Di third year, Han Xuan Di called the Confucianists, convened Shi Qu Ge conference, and discussed the similarities and differences of Five Classics. When discussing the funeral rite, the Han Dynasty ritual scientists studied the mourning apparel relations that were not understood in the Confucian classics, and further debated the different understanding of related contents to ＂Yili Mourning apparel＂. Through the discussion, the mutual contradiction of ＂Yili Mourning apparel＂ records was clarified, the mourning apparel relations was regulated, and the further complete of Han Dynasty funeral rite was laid the foundation.
