The asset management system aims at improving the asset and facility management through the total process management on asset lifecycle and facility maintenance. The main functions of SAP,the world-known enterprise management software package,include asset master data management,routine task administration, and managerial components integrated with other modules. This SAP software package differs from the ERP systems some Chinese firms employ in managing the assets.
