Mental Translation:An Effective Foreign Language Learning Strategy

摘要 通过对不同英语水平学生的问卷调查表明,学生普遍认为"心译法"在外语学习中是一种行之有效的学习策略。外语学习者不管外语水平高低在外语学习中无法完全脱离母语思维。因此,在外语教学的过程中,教师应该正确引导学生利用母语思维促进外语学习。 The results of the questionnaire survey of students from different English levels show that students generally think that "mental translation" is an effective learning strategy. Learners of different language proficiency all have the habit of using L1 thinking in their reading and writing practices. Accordingly, teachers should encourage students to use "mental translation" as a strategy for communicating and learning.
