On Cultural Lead-in in English Vocabulary Teaching Under the Background of New Curriculum Reform

语言是文化的载体,语言和文化之间的关系是密不可分的。要提高学生的语言综合能力,就必须注重文化意识的培养。按照英语课程标准对文化意识培养的要求,英语词汇教学应注重词汇的文化内容,通过各种途经、方法,按照一定的原则,在词汇教学中对学生进行文化导入,从而提高学生的词汇文化意识,进而全面提高学生的文化素养。

Language is the container of culture. Language and culture are inseparable. For the improvement of students＂ integrated language skills, more attention should be paid to the cultivation of cultural awareness. According to the requirements of the New English Curriculum on the cultivation of cultural awareness, cultural meaning of the English vocabulary should be introduced in English teaching through various approaches, methods and principles so as to improve students＂ cultural awareness.
