英语作格结构的认知基础

The Cognitive Basis of English Ergative Construction

主要基于认知语言学原理来探讨英语作格结构存在的理据。首先指出英语语言中存在的作格现象,并对其相关研究进行回顾;接着从图形/背景的突显观,能量传递、事件的理想化认知模型(ICM),其无隐含施事者的原因对作格结构作出认知解释。

Mainly based on the theory of Cognitive Linguistics, this paper discusses the reasons for the existence of English ergative construction. It first examines some phenomena in English from the ergative perspective and gives a general review of the relevant studies; then gives the cognitive explanation of ergative construction from the perspective of the prominence theory of Figure/ Ground, energy transmission, ICM and the reason of its no underlying agent.
