Manwan second stage （Manwan-Ⅱ） hydropower station project has been operated for more than one year.The paper introduces the hydro-mechanical design of the project, mainly including selection and characteristics of hydraulic turbine, characteristics of generator unit, design of auxiliary mechanical equipment in the hydropower station,and layout of powerhouse etc.
