Duan Yizong: A Poet of Dachanghe Kingdom

段义宗曾作为南诏及大长和国使臣两次出使成都,为著名少数民族诗人,其诗歌在内地广为流传。然而,由于《新唐书》记事的失误,长期以来对其事迹多有谬说。通过对五代和宋人多种史料的研究,澄清了关于其生平的混乱说法,对于正确认识唐和南诏关系史上的一些重大事件,如安化长公主南诏和亲等,具有重要的参考价值。

Duan Yizong was dispatched to Chengdu first as an envoy of Nanzhao State and then of Dachanghe Kingdom. As a famous poet, his poems spread far and wide in China. Owing to recording errors in the New Book of the Tang, there are some false statements about his life career. The paper has collected many historical materials and clarified these statements, which are quite valuable for understanding the relationship between Nanzhao State and the Tang, as reflected, for instance, in such an important historical event as Princess Anhua of the Tang married to Longshun, king of Nanzhao Kingdom.
