To make the best use of past experience in setting of the injection molding process parameters, case-based reasoning method was used to obtain injection molding process parameters. Search through the index to increase the speed of retrieving, and use similarity to identify the most appropriate case. The practical applications show the case based reasoning can effectively use past experience and increase the efficiency of reasoning. The system can shorten the parameters＇ setting time and get rid of the dependence on expert.
