Peanuts represent a rich source of plant protein. The nutrition of peanut protein is similar with that of animal protein. The latest research advances at home and abroad were reviewed from the aspects of the composition, functional properties, extracting method and exploitation of peanut protein. The prospects for the exploitation of peanut protein in the future were viewed.
