摘要
英语已逐渐演变成为一种国际最通用的语言。在中国,由于基础教育和高等教育的迅猛发展,学生的英语习得及应用水平正越来越高。由于教学手段的完善,非英语专业的教学效果和质量也得以提高。英语教育正在从以前少数人才能获得的学术和生活的稀缺资源向大众化资源渐变。因此,英语专业教育出现了前所未有的生存挑战。我们从该专业教育所应具备的"三性",即"工具性""人文性"和"思维性"入手,探寻英语专业教育的生存策略,才能有效地探寻英语专业教育的策略。
It is well known that English is becoming an international language. In China, with the rapid development of the elementary and higher education, the learners' ability to acquire and use English is improving. Due to the improvement of the teaching means, the teaching effect and quality of non-English majors have been greatly enhanced. English education is now developing from a precious academic and living resource for a small group of people into a widely shared one for the ordinary students. Therefore, the education for the English majors is confronted with an unprecedented survival challenge. This article attempts to explore the survival strategies for the education of the English majors from three aspects instrumentalism, humanism and thinking trend.
