Notes on Guoyu

This paper explores some annotation mistakes of the words and sentences in Guoyu given by Chinese linguists Wei Zhao and Wang Yinzhi in the Jin dynasty and Qing dynasty respectively. Some of these mistakes are not all misinterpretations; some overlook the syntactic and phonetic facts, and some are taken out of context. It also points out why Wang Yingzhi changed at will the old texts.
