语义扩展中的隐喻反思

Reflection on the Metaphor in Word Meaning Extension

认知语言学认为隐喻在语义的扩展中起到了决定的作用。然而,从先于隐喻的前提来看,作为认知语法基础的象似性并没有成为定论;从后于隐喻的语义扩展机制本身来看,语义隐喻扩展机制也存在着自相矛盾的问题,原型义的假设也使得此理论本身存在缺陷。

Cognitive linguistics holds that metaphor plays a key role in the process of word meaning extension. Meanwhile, iconicity, as the prerequisites of the cognitive grammar, has not enjoyed its popularity; and there are still some contradictory problems in the system of word meaning extension, the hypothesis of prototype, by itself, results in the flaw in the system.
