Through the comparative analysis on IM Pei＇s achievements in different design stage of the new Suzhou Museum, and also based on related documents, the paper explores the creative idea and the designing course. Together with the effects of the building after the completion, the paper presents the author＇s personal understandings in different aspects such as layout, space, form, garden and so on.
