This paper studies the development of the statutory conditions for divorce in the West, which experienced a process from divorce forbidden to divorce restriction, and has eventually developed into divorce freedom. Each evolution contains a great liberation of thinking. The evolution of the statutory conditions for divorce is the inevitable result of the evolution of social thought.
