On the Training of Students' Sensitivities to Cultural Differences in Foreign Language Teaching

摘要 现代外语教学强调培养学生的跨文化交际能力,即在国际化、信息化社会中获得信息和处理信息的能力。现状调查和分析表明:目前外语学习者跨文化意识和文化差异敏感性并不强烈,文化教学在英语教学中的重要性也没有得到充分体现。因此,如何在外语教学中从不同的层面来培养学生的跨文化意识和文化差异的敏感性,提高其跨文化交际能力成为亟待解决的问题。 Modern foreign language teaching emphasizes the training of students' ability of intercultural communication, that is, the ability to obtain and handle information in the internationalized and informationalized society. An investigational study shows that some students' intercultural awareness and their sensitivities to cultural differences are not strong enough, and that the importance of culture teaching in foreign language teaching is not highly valued. Therefore, how to develop the students' intercultural awareness and their sensitivities to cultural differences from different levels becomes very urgent.
