Probing into"Joy'in Paintings by the Mid and Late Ming Dynasty's Literati

明代中后期文人追求绘画之乐,他们所谓的绘画之乐是"独乐乐"而不是"与人乐乐"。

In the mid and late Ming Dynasty, the literati enjoyed the pursuit of painting and most of them followed Dong Qichang＇ s lead. Based on analyzing the literati＇s poems and paintings in this period, this paper fmds that the so-called joy of painting is“enjoying themselves”rather than“enjoying with others.”
