庾肩吾是梁代著名的诗人,文学造诣很高,文采为时人和后世所重。其诗歌的创作包括应令奉和诗,以女性为描写对象的诗,离乱伤怀之作,咏物诗,宣扬佛道、追求隐逸生活的诗几类。这些诗歌大多以吟咏性情为主,表现出词彩华丽,声律优美,情感细腻的特征,为诗歌的"新变"起到了一定的推进作用。

YU Jian-wu is a poet in the Liang dynasty. His attainment in literature is high and his literary talent draws attention from his contemporaries and later generations. His poems include poems in reply, poems depicting women, poems of sorrow over separation by war, poems about objects, and poems propagating Buddhism. Most of such poems mainly depict temperaments. They were written in ornate language and in graceful rhythms with fine sentiments, playing a part in pushing forward the ＂new change＂ in poem writing.
