法律英语词汇特点及翻译

随着中国对外开放进程的加快,法律英语翻译工作在社会生活中扮演越来越重要的角色,其研究也越来越必要。本文第一部分从分析法律英语最重要的四个特征——"准确"、"正式"、"专业"和"客观"开始,总结出了法律英语词汇的六个重要的特点,并提出法律英语词汇这些特点都是为法律英语的这四个特征服务的;第二部分提出了法律英语翻译的四个标准——忠实、准确、通顺、一致,并结合法律词汇的特点,通过几个例子进一步加深了对法律英语翻译的认识。

With Chinese opening policy courses being accelerated, legal English translation has been＇ acting as an even more and more important role in the social life and its research has turned to be more and more necessary. The first part of.this passage starts from analysis of the four characteristics in English ＂precision＂, ＂formality＂, ＂professionalism＂ and ＂objectivism＂, summarizing six important characteristics of legal English vocabulary and implying that such legal English vocabulary characteristics all serve the purpose of above - mentioned these four aspects. The second part of this passage has brought forward four standards in legal English translation faithfulness, accuracy, smoothness and consistency, together with the legal English vocabulary characteristics, further deepened our understanding towards legal English translation through several instances.
