通过阐述回译及回译对顺义词义选择的作用,说明回译是具有定向性的特殊翻译活动,这种特殊性决定了理想和终极的回译文应与顺译的原语文本绝对对等,这与顺译要求动态对等具有目标的契合性,并以此为出发点,从哲学、语言和文化三个层面阐述回译对顺译词义选择的作用。
The back-translation and its functions on choosing word meaning in translation are discussed. Back-translation is a special translation activity with definite orientation, which determines that the ideal and final back-translation should be resolutely equivalent to the original text. That is in accordance with the objective of the dynamic equivalence requested in translation. Based on that, from the perspectives of philosophy, language and culture, the effectiveness of back-translation in choosing word meaning during translation is analyzed.
