Wheel wear test method has its particular advantages in measuring the wear resistance of anodic oxide coatings on aluminum and its alloys. Thus the methods for evaluation of the wear resistance of the anodic oxide coatings are introduced with respect to national and international standards. At same time, several aspects waiting to be modified are discussed, which hopefully would provide references to revision of relevant national standards.
