Linux is a successful operating system which is developing fast in recent years.This paper analysis the structure and characteristics of Linux fast file system from the aspects of on-disk orgamzation, memory resource managemcnt, and file iodexing.The paper aiso specifies the technical mechanisms which Linux fast file system adopted to improve performance.
