对1997年林业经济整体运行情况进行了总体回顾,根据中央对1998年全国经济工作的总体要求结合林业实际,对未来一段时期内林业发展的战略重点和目标作了必要调整,对1998年的林业工作做了全面部署,强调了重点工作,并要求林业计划工作要为林业的发展作好保障。

A review has been made to general situation of China's forestry economy in 1997 in this paper.According to the Central Party Committee's general requirement to the state economic situation in 1998 and forestry actual situation,the author has adjusted the highlights of forestry development strategy, deployed generally forestry work in 1998,emphasized main tasks,and required forestry planning sectors to provide excellent services to forestry work.
