In academic libraries, the system of university sublibraries benefits for the intensive management, healthy interaction between libraries and disciplines and the use of resources. The mode of university sublibraries breaks the old styles of library management and literature distribution. It is a kind of innovation and revolution of library management. The practice of university sublibraries brings about a series of new demands for the management mode of academic libraries and should be designed and managed comprehensively, scientifically and carefully. The practice of university sublibraries in university town campus of South China Normal University proved to be vigorous and successfull. And there are also some problems which should be resolved such as the allocation of liaisons and improvement of services in the deep subjects informaton services.
