摘要
本文以象似性理论为指导,结合英汉状语的位置,讨论了它们的语序问题,认为英汉状语语序从根本上遵循着相同的象似性原则,只是由于不同的认知策略和文化传统,具体的排列顺序才出现某些差别。
Guided by the theory of iconicity, this paper discusses the word order of English and Chinese adverbials with reference to their respective positions in the sentence. It argues that the word order of adverbials in two languages shares the same iconicity principles, though the actual order may differ due to different cognitive strategies and cultural traditions.
