Influences of Internet Media on the Political Participation of Contemporary Youth

网络技术的发展为青年提供了言论自由的"王国",拓宽了政治参与的途径和手段,降低了参与成本,但也容易引发青年非理性政治参与,造成青年政治态度的畸形和行为的失范,为此应高度关注网络技术对青年政治参与的巨大影响,积极思索应对和引导之道。

On the one hand, Internet provides the youth a kingdom of free expression, expands the means of political participation and lowers the cost; on the other hand, it easily causes insensible participation, abnormal political stance, irregular behaviors and over-reliance on Internet, neglecting real inter-personal communication. Hence, close attention should be paid to the impacts of Internet technology on youth＇s political participation and appropriate ways to deal with the phenomenon.
