The summer in Toronto is rich in outdoors festivals and cultural events, wdh Lake Ontario＇s waterfront serving as a privileged stage, After the suceessful installation of Peripheral Sitings at the Harpourfront Centre in fall 2006, PLANT Architect in collaboration with Nighswimming and Martin Julien were commissioned to create the theatrical performance Blue Note in the same venue. This show of versatility is made the more interesting in a moment when PLANT＇s Boustrophedon Garden was officially open as part of Les Jardins ephemeres （Efemerous Gardens） in Quebec City The garden is part of Quebec 400, the official celebrations of the 400th anniversary of the city in the neighbouring province. The garden remained open to the public through to 28 September 2008, affording opportunities to observe fast-paced changes in this site-specific project.
