摘要 自动特征识别是从零件的实体模型中抽取出具有特定工程意义的特征信息.由于自动特征识别构成CAD与CAPP之间的智能接口,对实现CAD,CAPP,CAM集成具有重要意义,因此一直是CAD/CAM领域的研究热点,研究成果十分丰硕.另一方面,由于特征识别具有相当难度,该领域至今仍存在许多问题有待解决.本文对自动特征识别技术的历史和现状进行了全面综述,介绍了具有代表性的特征识别方法,并阐述了各个方法的特点,最后对目前特征识别研究中存在的问题以及可能的对策进行了讨论. Seamless and effective integration of CAD and CAM is increasingly de-manded by manufacturing industries. To realize this, an intelligent interface be-tween CAD and CAM is imperative, since CAPP expects part representation in terms of manufacturing features, whereas CAD describes parts by their solid model or design features. Feature recognizer is exactly such an interface because it can rec-ognize manufacturing features of a part from its CAD model automatically.There-fore feature recognition has been an important research area over the past decade.Much effort has been conducted in this area and many kinds of feature recognition approaches have been proposed. On the other hand, due to the difficulty of feature recognition, there are still many problems with the current feature recognition methods, which need to be solved to make feature recognition more powerful. In this paper, a survey of automatic feature recognition is presented. The representa-tive feature recognition methods are reviewed and their distinguishing characteris-tics are identified. Moreover, the existing problems of feature recognition and the possible solution strategies are discussed.
