摘要
《红楼梦》不到一百万字的篇幅,可它的内容、思想、艺术容量却千百倍超出于此。奥秘之一在于,曹雪芹把"空白"这一艺术手法运用到了极致:一是对关键情节、细节叙述的故意中断;二是对人物行为动机的故意回避;三是对人物语言的故意省略或者模糊;四是对人物道德、事件性质评价的故意缺位。由此可见作者对小说艺术魅力的无穷追求;对读者的高度尊重和信任;对社会、对历史、对世界认识的高度的睿智。
Though A Dream of Red Mansions is less than ten million words, its content, philosophy and art are beyond the amount of words counting..One of the secrets lies in the fact that Cao Xueqing uses the blankness art in an extremely perfect attitude: breaking up the key plots and detailed description on purpose; shifting off the purpose of the characters' motivations intentionally; omitting the characters' words deliberately or obscuring them; leaving deliberate vacancy of the characters' morals and the evaluation of the nature of the events. From these, we can find the writer reaches aider the artistic charm of the novels endlessly, high respect and trust on the readers, and the high intelligence to the world.
