Breeding and Utilization of Japonica Hybrid Rice Liuyou 3

杂交中粳新组合六优３号丰产性好，适应性强，已在生产上示范推广，高产栽培技术及杂交制种技术亦已日趋完善。

The new combination of Japonica hybrid rice Liuyou 3 (Liuqianxin A/Yinhui 3), with high yield and good adaptability, has been commercialized. The practices such as fertilized dryland seedling raising, applying nitrogen fertilizer in panicle developmental stage, adopting suitable planting density were used in its high yielding cultural management. Some cultural techniques like arranging correct seeding interval between parents, strengthening the growth of the male parent and increasing outcrossing rate were adopted in its hybrid seed production.
