摘要班克罗夫特认为殖民地时期与后来的美国历史有着极其密切的相关性,因为它孕育了美国制度的胚芽。但后来美国历史发展的时代主题及其历史叙事,却颠覆了这一反映美国整体历史观的"班克罗夫特命题",并在不同时期表现为不同的内容与言说,最终导致美国历史叙事随时可从"国家身份"脱落的危险。 Bancroft proposed that American history in the colonial stage was closely linked with that in the post-colonial stage,because American System was bred in the former period.However,his proposition was subverted,although it reflects the general American history,and continually different contents and speeches were offered.Finally,the American historical narration is on the verge of losing its ＂national identity＂.
