This paper details the complete shutdown malfunction of one substation caused by 10 kV power transportation line malfunction, and analyzes the actions of the primary equipments, relay protection and automatic safety equipments. It finds why the fault can not be removed in time. Also, this paper considers and sums up the problems exposed in this malfunction, advances effective measures, and also hopes more attention should be paid to it and keep away from the similar hidden dangers in daily work.
