On the ancient culture of Qingdao

至少在夏朝时期,青岛地区主要是莱夷人居住,属东夷人之一部,为古介国,分别与莒、莱二国接界,后终属齐国。据此,先秦时期青岛文化分别带有东夷文化、齐文化的双重特征,从而表现出仁智、勇武和创造,多神信仰,务实、功利、开放、兼收并蓄以及浪漫、舒缓的文化特点。秦汉以降,青岛地区儒、道文化繁兴,影响深巨。

At least in the period of Xia Dynasty, Qingdao is the major area for Laiyi people to living, who is part of the Dongyi people, and considered as the ancient country, with the boarding of Lv and Lai the two countries, it later belongs to Qi. Accordingly, pointing out Qingdao euhure in the Pre-Qin period posses the double characteristics of Dongyi and Qin culture, which characteristics are shown to be as follows： first, different views, courage and creation; secondly, polytheism; thirdly, pragmatic, utilitarian, open, innovative and romantic, comfortable. Ever since Qin and Han Dynasty, the culture of Qi and Qi-lu, and the cuhure of Confucianism and Taoism are flourish, and brings far-reaching effects on Chinese culture.
