《西厢记》作为元杂剧的代表作之一,塑造了崔莺莺、老夫人、红娘三个光彩照人、个性鲜明的女性形象。虽然形象各不相同,但她们代表了社会不同阶层人物的生活,具有封建时代女性的共性和真善美的特征。

As a masterpiece of Yuan Dynasty＇s dramas, The Western Chamber created three vivid female images： Cui Yingying, The old lady （Cui＇s mother）, and Hong Niang. Although the images are quite different from each other, they represented characters in different social stratum. Furthermore, they share common natures of females in the feudal time and reflect the truth, virtue and beauty.
