Historical Stages of Chinese Heavy Industry and Reflection

1949～1978年,中国产业结构转换进程加快。在重工业优先发展的经济发展战略指导下,重工业的发展可分为两个阶段:1949～1957年重工业发展的起步时期和1958～1978年重工业发展的起伏时期。在不同的历史时期,政府政策均深刻影响着产业结构变动的节奏和重工业发展的重点。重工业的发展呈现出少数产业的快速发展和大起大落的特征,对经济发展缺乏可持续性的贡献。

During 1949-1978, the process of China＇s industrial structure was accelerated. The development of heavy industry could divide into two stages by heavy industry priority stratagem. Those were the underway stage during 1949-1957 and the waving stage during 1958N1978 of heave industry. Under different period, government policy has influenced the point of heavy industry. However, only a few heavy industries did make progress but waving frequently. The evolution of China＇s leading industry did not operate a sustainable and stable role on economy growth.
