The paper points out that the urban construction in Tang, Song and Yuan dynasties has an important position in the ancient architecture history in our country, describes the embodiment of the construction features of Chang＇ an city that is the capital in Tang dynasties in the poetry, the embodiment of the construction features of Dongjing city in Beisong dynasties and the Lin＇an in Nansong dynasties in word and the embodiment of the construction features of the capital in Yuan dynasties in the drama, which provides a new way for studying the ancient urban construction in China.
