社会主义也要搞市场经济。建立社会主义市场经济，就是把社会主义经济的主体优势与市场经济的灵活机制有机地结合起来，从而使社会资源得以合理的配置。社会主义与资本主义最显著的区别不在于计划经济与市场经济，而在于公有制是社会主义经济的主体，是社会主义最本质的特征。因此，公有制能否与市场经济相兼容。

Abstract The market economy also exists in socialism .To set up the socialist market economy means to combine the main advantage of the socialist economy with the flexible mechanism of the market economy for the purpose of the reasonable allocation for the socialist resources.The remarkable difference between socialism and capitalism does not determine the planned economics and market economy but determines the system of the public ownership. The latter is the main Part of the socialist economy and it is the essential feature of socialism.Therefore, whether the system of the public ownership will be combined with the market economy is a core problem of whether the socialist market economy could be come true.
