An approach, which is based on the measurement model, used to detect fault in navigation systems is discussed in this paper. The parity detection method is introduced to the fault detection of navigation systems and its threshold is also determined. Finally, an example shows that the approach is simple to use, the false detection probability is small and the effect of isolation fault is very good.
