泗棉３号是我国９０年代以来长江流域育成的推广面积最大的棉花新品种，其选育的关键技术是，注重理想株型的塑造；协调综合丰产性；注重丰富遗传基础与加强高世代连续选择。

Simian 3 is a new cotton variety which has been developed since the nineties of this century in our country with the largest area of propagation. The key-link breeding techniques are: laying stress on the moulding of an ideal plant type; coordinating the complex prolific capabilities; putting emphasis on rich genetic bases and enforcing consecutive selection on later generations.
