Coal washing plants usually use the box-type filter press to recover the fine coal from the slurry. The feed pump of the filter press, after being controlled with the variable frequency technology, can change its own rotation speed according to the slurry concentration and start its motor under the rated current, which not only reduces the impact to the power grid and equipment at the start, but also achieves some energy saving.
