Criticism of Sources of Literature and Arts

人类的社会生活是文学艺术的"唯一源泉",这只是从哲学的唯物主义反映论得出的源泉论。这种源泉论适用于一切精神意织领域。"艺术作品的源泉是想象的自由活动","中得心源"等源泉论则是从文艺创作论、从文艺心理学得出的源泉论。社会生活源泉论与"心源"论入思角度与着眼层面不同,它们彼此并不对立。对"过去的文艺作品"在文艺源泉中的作用也不应该忽视。

Social life of the mankind is the 'only source' of literature and arts, which is a theory of source drawn out from materialistic theory of reflection in philosophy. This idea of source applies to all fields of spirit and consciousness. Such theories as those which suggest 'the source of artistic works is the imaginary free domain,' and 'artistic works originate with heart,' are the theories of source starting with the theory of artistic creation and artistic psychology. The theory of social life as the source and the theory of heart being the source are different in starting points and research planes, thus not being contradictory. The roles played by 'the past literary and artistic works' are not negligible.
