Analysis on Social Customs of Foreign Muslims in Song Dynasty

宋代的穆斯林蕃客主要来自中东、西亚、中亚及东南亚等地区,他们在发展对外经济贸易、传播宗教信仰、影响社会风气等方面,有着不可替代的作用。他们在宋代是一个与众不同的社会群体,宋政府给予他们的政策也相对宽松,他们在很多方面形成了自己独特的社会习俗,产生了深远影响。

In ancient China, foreign Muslims traded and transmitted peace and friendship. Most of them came to China from Middle East, West Asia, Middle Asia and Southeast Asia in Song Dynasty. They gave full scope to develop international business and economy, spread Islamism, present social influence and so on. Foreign Muslims were a special group, so the Song government treated them with flexible laws and policies. Foreign Muslims formed special social customs for themselves in many fields and remained far - reac- hing influence.
