There are two technological processes in producing biomaterial activated carbon using biomaterial as raw material--physical method and chemical method. The paper compares biomaterial activated carbon with coal-based activated carbon between advantage and disadvantage, and points out that because of energy lacking and environmental consciousness enhancing, biomaterial activated carbon is superior to coal-based activated carbon.
