with the development of the internet technology, web-based extensive reading teaching for English majors becomes a new teaching model. On-line reading stimulates students＇ reading interest, promotes their reading competence and helps them take the initiative in reading. This paper presents the advantages and an example of the application of web-based extensive reading for English majors.
